What we collect
To produce your match report and kit, we process the job description and the resume you provide (as text or an uploaded file). If you choose to have a report emailed to you, or you buy a 90-day pass, we collect your email address. Payments are handled by Stripe; we receive a confirmation and your email, but never your full card number.
How we use it
We use the job posting and your resume only to generate your match report and application kit, to deliver them to you, and to handle support and refunds. We do not sell your information, show you ads, or build advertising profiles.
AI processing
Your resume and the job description are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate your report and kit. This content is not used to train AI models. It is processed only to create your documents.
How long we keep it
Your resume, report, and generated kit are automatically and permanently deleted after 30 days. If you request a refund, your kit is deleted at that time. The 90-day pass is a signed token tied to your email; it stores no resume or document data.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers needed to run RoleLight: Stripe (payment processing), Anthropic (AI generation), Resend (transactional email), and our hosting provider. Each processes data only to provide its service. We do not share your information with anyone else except where required by law.
Cookies
We use only what's necessary to run the service. If you buy a 90-day pass, we store a single signed token as a cookie so your pass works on your device. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Your choices
Your data is deleted automatically after 30 days, but you can ask us to delete it sooner, or ask what we hold, by emailing support@rolelight.com. Because we keep so little and delete it quickly, most requests resolve immediately.
Security and children
We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your data in transit and at rest. RoleLight is intended for job seekers and is not directed to children under 16; please do not use it if you are under 16.
